To save your time, our practice is equipped with Tyro and Medicare Online. This system facilitates the billing process, enabling us to charge your patient account and directly submit your claims to Medicare, ensuring reimbursement of Medicare rebates to your account as promptly as possible.

Overseas patients and patients without a valid Medicare card & health insurance must pay the fees.

If your medical needs require more time or involve complex issues, we recommend scheduling a double appointment. For all other patients, a standard consultation will be sufficient.

FAQs

How do I pay for my appointment?

  • If you are bulk-billed, no payment is required. Otherwise, you will be required to pay the full fee of your consultation on the day of your appointment.
  • Fees can be paid by cash or EFTPOS.
  • The practice will submit any claim to Medicare on your behalf. Medicare typically pays the rebate within 24 hours.

Do you bulk bill?

Yes we bulk bill patients with a valid Medicare card. Bulk billing is when the payment for your consultation or treatment with your doctor is covered entirely by Medicare.

Why should I pay a private fee if required to?

Some services not covered by bulk billing may be charged a private fee as directed by the GP, and if applicable you will receive a rebate from Medicare. This means there is an out-of-pocket cost to you.

The private fees help to cover the costs of consumables, to retain high quality health practitioners and facilitate services like women’s health so that you and your family receive the healthcare that you deserve in a family friendly environment.
